I got this app to hide stuff but it really doesn’t work and it doesn’t allow you to access the things you hide after a certain amount of time that they should be open. Do not download it’s a waste of time🙄

I would not recommend this app. It doesn’t work more often than it does. I have contacted customer support several times. And yes, they do give you a solution. But, I shouldn’t have to go in and fix settings on a daily basis. And rarely, does the timer work as it’s supposed to. Largely in part to the fact that it gets “stuck” toggling between modes. Biggest waste of money. And of course they don’t offer refunds. Also, currently, we are unable to even delete the app and the App Store is gone off my daughter’s phone.

Warning that my review is not about how good the app itself works. I downloaded the app looking for the right app to allow my autistic child access to her ABC Mouse and kids games on my iPhone. We have an iPad for normal times, but when she has a meltdown and the ipad isn't with us, I need to hand over my phone to help distract and calm her - it is a resource that I HAVE to have. As with MOST apps, you don't get a complete view of what the app is like until you download it and play with it a bit. I downloaded Kidslox to do that. But it wasn't a good match for what I wanted, so I deleted it like any other app. My issue with this app comes from this. There was no warning or dialog box or anything warning me or blocking my actions that have sent my phone into a world of confusion. Yesterday I had to drive over an hour to a new specialist for my daughter and I couldn't use my maps app for directions - a total nightmare. The Kidslox app icon disappeared like I deleted it, but it continues to control my phone. My apps rearrange themselves every night at 8pm, the Kidslox app icon appears long enough for me to log in the pin number and switch it back to parent mode and then it promptly disappears from all screens and all menus (in control settings). I go to the Kidslox web page to get troubleshooting help....and come to a login screen....to which I try to login but it tells me my email doesn't have an account. Not funny. They don't post uninstall instructions due to safety (and I'm sure kids that are smart enough to figure it out). Okay I get it. But customer supports answer is to keep sending me a link to login (even though I tell them I can't log in). So......I have a phone that keeps rearranging apps every single night so I can't even hide my important apps in folders away from my child's eyes...I'm in worse shape than I started. I took my phone to the Apple store to see if anyone could help and got no answers and an bunch of confused looks when they couldn't even find the app on my phone. My advice = DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY COMMITTED TO IT.

  • It’s good with two glitches

This is overall a good app. It has many different modes and features, and does what it’s supposed to do and more. However, the glitches have made the app annoying to use. One of the glitches is that when my kids turn off the VPN, they can access anything on the web. I’ve had to resort to taking away their electronics because Kidslox wasn’t working well. My kids have also been complaining that when they go into lockdown mode and back out, their folders get deleted, and their apps are spread over the whole phone. I understand that this isn’t really fixable, just stating my opinion. Except for the glitches, this app is the best parental control app I’ve found! Very good job ☺️

This app is not good after you reached your daily limit it deletes every app. My kid tried to delete it but he couldn’t then I deleted it but it installed itself back on his cell phone.

This trash app crashed my entire OS, locked it, then threw all my apps out of their folders. Couldn't even delete it the first time. What a joke.
