Want to date someone who shares your drive? And maybe you'd like to meet someone attractive who looks good in black-and-white photos, courteous enough to use proper punctuation, and flexible enough to fit into your way-too-restrictive schedule? While your mother may call you picky, we call you self-aware. It’s happy hour, so go get ’em.' We’ll do the vetting so you can do the petting. League users now have the option of becoming members by purchasing several subscription options. Membership offers extra perks, customization, more prospects and invites to exclusive events. Depending on what term you choose, your Membership will last for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months, and automatically renew at those intervals from the point of purchase onward. If you wish to cancel your membership before it renews, you must do so at least 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and will be renewed at the same price the next term. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after purchase. See terms and conditions at and our privacy policy

This dating app pretends to “Curate” (whatever that means) elite and quality singles for dating. It does neither. I was both a free and paying member for over a year. Despite setting preferences for local singles, I was often matched with women hundreds of miles away. I was also matched with women who were not in my selected preferred religion or race, indicating their dating pool must not be very big. I’m also convinced I was matched with women whom I never preferred in the first place. Unattractive randoms would magically show up in my portfolio of “Curated” elites. Further, most matches do not respond to messages. Later as a paid member, I could see who read my messages. The vast majority did not. For those in search of a free subscription, the site boasts a waitlist to promote a sense of exclusivity. Translation: We can’t afford to offer free subscriptions to everyone — it’s a business after all. But if you are willing to fork over money, they will gladly “curate” you into their elite circle. Once your specially curated credit card number has been approved, you will be deemed a curated elite single! It’s like being deemed “Authorized Personnel”. So don’t be fooled or feel less than elite by being on the waitlist. It’s a sham, hoping to get you to pay. We tend to want what we can’t have. Many fall into the trap of instant gratification and pay. Don’t. Just refer a few friends and you’ll move up the list. That’s if you really want onto this ridiculous site. But beware, the friends you refer will later hate you for it. Once you are on this “Elite” site there are additional in-app purchases they’ll try to lure you into. Things like Profile Boosts and Power Moves. Don’t fall for these as they will make you poorer and more frustrated. In summary just swap the word curate to irate and that’ll give you a sense of what you’ll experience.

I’ve only just started using the app and I’m not crazy about it. It seems like they’re hell bent on getting users to become memebers which sure is cool and I get it people need to make money but then they should be 100% honest about that. I know that they say that you can use the app as a guest but actually that’s not entirely true. They don’t let you see those that like your profile and when you try to see who did,a prompt pops up telling you to upgrade. Just sell it as a member online site rather than make it seem like it’s another bumble or tinder sans the shady characters. I prefer honesty. Also the app has weird glitches in regards to editing. For instance I’ll try to edit my profile by clicking on the edit icon and it always kicks me off the app which gets super annoying.
  • Not what I expected

This app drops profiles in my daily matches that don’t even live in my city and often times not even the same state. It is extremely expensive and I see the same prospects here that I see in other sites so there is nothing really unique or better about it. I have matched with a few potentials who never respond to my messages yet we matched so this is really just a more expensive dating app that doesn’t offer anything more quality or unique to make meeting and/or dating any better than any of the other apps or sites I’ve tried.
  • Flaky?

    By professorat
After being told I was flaky for not signing in I tried to permanently remove my account and it won’t allow me. Please, if someone from the The League is reading this, remove my account. Bumble is better!

You have to wait and pay much more than other dating apps for no reason. The gimmick is that it’s supposed to be other professionals on there, but anybody can create a LinkedIn profile. They limit the number of people who see you for no reason other than to make you pay more. Not very effective when the whole goal is to meet people. Cons: 1. There’s a waitlist. It took 4 weeks after signing up to be able to use it because you’re “waiting in line.” The message is that it’s exclusive and you’re lucky to get in, but the reality is that there are other dating apps out there where you can start meeting people right away. If you’re downloading a dating app, then you’re probably ready to start meeting people right then, not in a month. 2. Limiting and Expensive You only get to vote on 5 people/day with a basic membership. Two of which have liked you, but you don’t get to know which ones. 3. EXPENSIVE Anytime you want to see more than 5 people/day, you have to pay. You can buy more, which is $25/day. If you want to see 7/day instead of 5, and see which 2 of them already liked you, you can become an “owner” and pay $399.00 a month (yes, $400). If you want to see EVERYONE who liked you, and get to vote on a whopping 9 people a day, you can become an “investor” and pay $999/mo (yup, not a typo- $1000 a month). You can pay $25/day to buy a daily boost so that 30 people see you that day instead of a handful.
  • It’s nonsense

You pay for a format that appears high tech and functional. It exists primarily to entice you to continuously upgrade, buy tickets, etc. If you pay just the expensive $300+ a year and do not “boost your profile,” buy tickets, etc; the app simply sends you people from wherever and does nothing to connect people. That’s their hook - your only chance that a person of interest will see you is by purchasing tickets each time. It is a very slick way to appear to provide a service that doesn’t meaningfully support matching. The app doesn’t tell you who has liked your profile without major upgrades ($200+ per week).
  • $$$$

They charge $199-$999 A MONTH! for this app. Who in their right mind is spending $1k/ a month on a dating app.
  • Scam in philly area

    By hlj74
I would give this app a -5 if I could. They market it as though it’s an elite crowd clammering to get in and suggest you might be waitlisted. In reality they do not have a sizable candidate pool in philly resulting in suggested matches from Manhattan, New York, Maryland and Dc. Not realistic and when I complained I was told I should be more open and less picky. But the “concierge” agreed they were still building a philly market. I asked to suspend my account and after 3-4 months reactivated it. Still the same. No Philly market. And even those that they do recommend are not what I would call “elite” Do not waste your money!!!
  • Seems To Be Broken

Using the latest iPhone, after creating my profile which reset the information after connecting Instagram after LinkedIn I tried reconnecting LinkedIn, it didn’t work and I can’t put in my title and job to complete my profile and have it submitted. Furthermore trying to launch the app, I get stuck in a LinkedIn verification loop where the LinkedIn verification constantly pops up over and over again whether I hit cancel or login with LinkedIn. 😅 i was considering on paying the $200 a month after the app was recommended to me by another entrepreneur but unfortunately it seems like that isn’t possible because I can’t even get past the LinkedIn loop.
  • Glitchy

Premise is based on exclusivity around job, but I can’t even get my LinkedIn to connect/refresh with a new job; the app doesn’t let me click the button, and when it does, it says sync failed. What am I waiting around for? Too expensive.
