Description

Welcome to Tile, the world’s largest lost and found. Tile makes tiny Bluetooth trackers and a companion app that allow you to locate lost or misplaced items in seconds — like your phone, keys, and wallet. Compatible with Tile Mate, Tile Slim and Tile Original. You can order Tiles at http://www.thetileapp.com *Ring your things. Attach or stick Tile devices to anything you don’t want to lose and use the app to ring your stuff when you’re within Bluetooth range. With Tile Slim and Tile Mate you can pick from one of four unique ringtones. *Ring your phone. Can't find your phone? Press any one of your Tile devices to make your lost phone ring —even if it's on silent. *See where you had it last. Keep the app running in the background and it will automatically record the last time and place it saw your item on a map. So, if you left it somewhere, you know where to look first. *Ask others to help. Still can't find your Tiled item? Our “Notify When Found” feature puts every device running the Tile app on the lookout for your lost stuff. If anyone comes within Bluetooth range of your Tile, we'll let you know where it is. This feature is 100% private, so no one knows you're looking for a lost item but you. *Find your phone from any device. Our app turns any phone or tablet into a virtual Tile. Simply download the app on all of your devices — and use the app on one of your devices to find another. Plus, you can use our voice calling feature to call another device from the app — even on silent — to help you get in touch with whoever may have picked up your lost phone.  Notes: * The app utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your Tiles. The maximum range is up to 300 ft for Tiles Pro 2018. * The app utilizes Location Services to record the last known location of your Tiles, based on your phone’s geo-location data. * Continued use of GPS or Bluetooth running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Tile Premium: Tile Premium offers an enhanced finding experience with exclusive features like Smart Alerts, Location History and Unlimited Sharing. Available for a monthly or annual subscription ($2.99/month or $29.99/year). You can subscribe and pay through your iTunes account. Payment will be charged to iTunes account at confirmation of purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renew may be turned off after purchase by going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ page in settings. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. The subscription will renew at the same cost. • Needs more development

The functionality of Tile is awesome, and if you lose things, there is no better app to have. I have it on my keys, my wallet and even my make-up bag, as I am continually using it and then misplacing it. However, this app needs more development, especially since they charge premium clients roughly $30/ year, of which I am one. I have a problem with the app running in the background, but I understand why it has to. However, I recently found out that every time you receive a notification, saying that you left your keys or whatever at home, work, ectera, the notification remains on your phone! No swiping R or L to remove it- really!? I now have over 40 notifications since I purchased Tile and these notifications add up and I’m sure eat up memory and/or space on your phone. I was told by the Tile rep that it’s because Premium users can find out where you left your item in the location history 30-days out. However, once you find your lost items, you don’t need that information- it’s irrelevant. I can’t believe they can’t correct that. I have decided after my year, I will withdraw from Premium, as I don’t think it’s worth it. Again, the premise of Tile and finding your lost items is great, the app needs more work since they charge a premium price, they need to develop it more. Cynthia

Tile needs to put more effort into the quality of this app and to the reliability of their service. I returned all my tiles after using this app.

I have tried 3 times to retile and was too busy to stop and type in my information. Could you guys please just get Apple Pay on the retile option so I don’t have to spend 10 minutes typing in my address or waiting on PayPal to respond?

Don’t get me wrong, I love my tile but the support team should be more willing to help you out more. The customer is always right sort of thing. I didn’t realize my trial had come to an end. That was my fault. But when I contacted customer support they would not cancel my subscription the day of renewal or change my subscription to a monthly rate and reimburse me either way. They just simply said NO. They could not help me and I could t do anything about it. It’s been a few minutes since it went through. And they seriously can’t help me out. Never had this problem before with any other company. They also ignored my request to speak to a supervisor. All I wanted was some help since at the moment I really can’t afford to have that extra charge. We’re on a tight budget and now I have to rethink my budget in general for this month. So unhappy with customer support right now. They really seemed like they just wanted the conversation to end.

I used to be in love with this app and one Christmas bought it for everybody in the family. However, with the new tiles an update, it seems to be getting worse and worse. Right now I am on day seven of trying to find my car keys and still can’t locate them. I am beyond frustrated and have been crying. Of course the only time I really had to use the app it’s not working. I have tried to figure out a way to call the company but there are no telephone number. No support, no help.
  • Not what you want

I've been using tile for a month and lost my wallet twice. Despite properly setting up the tile, the tile would never ring. Instead of ringing, it would simply give me the rough location. One of the instances my wallet was not more than 3m away and did not ring. Also, after purchasing a tile, they try to rope you in to buying more features with premium when it should really be included. I would consider using something else such as pebblebee than using tile.
  • Can’t find my tile

If you have your tile and need your phone, it works fine, but if you have your phone and need to find whatever the tile is attached to. That thing is as good as lost. It take hours for the app to locate anything. When it does and I am looking at the map, standing right on top of my lost item, it still won’t ping it. Total garbage

Overall, the app is very easy to use and set up. Once you simply set up your new tiles, the app is pretty straight forward. This is all fine and dandy, until I realized that the app HAS to be running all the time. For example, I am someone who regularly likes to clean out and save battery by closing all the apps I am no longer using, but this app won’t allow that. I also have problems sharing my tile with my fiancé (which was a big reason we bought these). We cannot find each other’s tiles like we read online. As long as you have either your tile or phone, you will be able to the simple function of finding them. I would give 5 out of 5 if those two problems were fixed.
  • Continual upsell

The app asks you to upgrade to premium at every opportunity. Junk.
  • I love tiles but ... I dislike ...

The way after I signed up for premium, Siri Shortcuts don’t work now. When I first got my tiles a couple weeks ago, they were just the bees knees. But then I signed up for premium. Now Siri Find my wallet doesn’t work. This worked through my HomePod just fine up until this point. Now Siri can’t find my keys it’s not at to, tells me constantly. Well HomeKit works on all my other HomeKit devices. HomePod works on BT, AirPlay and Wireless. So using a Siri shortcut should trigger the shortcuts on my phone. The ones this app helps you create and then tells you they don’t work. Meh, I used to believe, “you get what you pay for” I don’t even believe in that in the 21st century. You get the bare minimum effort for what you pay for and then you have to pay a premium service to get what you paid for and then that breaks something else. Until these issues are resolved by Tile, and I don’t care if it’s an Apple issue, I didn’t but my Tile from Apple. I don’t pay Apple for the service, even though the subscription goes through it. In short, your phone is NO tile unlike what’s mentioned. And you will have to know where your tiles are and your phone is to use one or the other to find them. This defeats the purpose of the tile, but that’s ok, I’ve thrown away money before and will again, I’m sure.
