Join over 42 million people. Have fun. Learn your fave language and impress the hell out of yourself with what you can achieve. Let real native speakers teach you their language from the streets of their home town through our Learn with Locals video clips. Give us a try – your first lesson's on the house. Choose your language: Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Korean, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Portuguese, Arabic, Norwegian, Dutch, Swedish, Polish, Turkish or Danish. Here's why we're different: We've got killer learning science behind the scenes. It speeds up your learning and helps you remember your new words, as if your mind keeps hitting the save button. Not that you'd notice. You're too busy watching fun video clips, seeing real locals in bucket-list destinations and playing little quiz-type games. The opposite of textbook learning. Wherever you Memrise, you're a million miles from the classroom. Then the good bit happens. You're in the moment, a local wants to talk. Do you freeze up? No. Not on our watch. You recall the key phrases you learned. You speak naturally. Not perfect but it's still good banter. You aren't worried. You're just going for it. You're off-the-charts confident. Mic drop. Download Memrise to: - Learn with locals: we took real native speakers and shrunk them into the app. Your miniature friends help you learn fun, conversational phrases. A few swear words too. - Practice games: our science does one-to-one coaching with your mind, while you have fun with Speed Review, Listening Skills, Difficult Words and Classic Review. - Improve your pronunciation: so when you say 'beaucoup' (a lot) you never accidentally say it 'beau cul' (nice ass). Record yourself and our smart tech will tell you if you got it right or need to try again. - Learn anywhere: download your course to learn in places that don't have signal and seem to be stuck in the 80s. - Build an entertaining habit: learn as much or as little as you want. You only need 5 minutes a day to improve. Perfect for making your loo break a lot more fun. ------ Choose the subscription that's right for you: One-month subscription for $8.99 Three-month subscription for $18.99 Twelve-month subscription for $59.99 Lifetime subscription for $99.99 ----------------------- PLEASE NOTE: You need a Memrise subscription to access all courses and features. • Best learning app but needs a few improvements

    By nanaki0888
    1) I bought the app for a year so I really do like it. 2 stars because the follow is very aggravating: 2)after you review words it shows the list of words you just reviewed. -you can not click on them to hear them again, which is not the best because I don’t always get them right. You have to find the lesson it’s in to do this. 3) in camera(explore mode) Mexico Spanish doesn’t work at all. 4) told my learning instructions that I want 50 words in review. Yet it doesn’t apply to pronunciation review. Why? 5) my last review just got deleted and I. Ow have this whole review copied in my notes to paste it when it happened again.
  • I like how this app is put together.

The way each lesson builds slowly and repetitively is easier to remember. This has become my favorite app out of a half dozen I have tried. It is simple of the word to word review. The video preview is helpful for visual facial expressions. This is a great app to use with Duolingo and then followed up with Busuu. I am going to use it in that order to better my score in Busuu.
  • Great!

So far so good. I really like the different repetition. It seems like a lot of fun
  • Love the service with a few exceptions

The app could use some updates to address delays while tapping, oddly enough.

I liked it a lot so far,I like when you get a question wrong it shows what you got wrong then at the end it asks you the same question to see if you paid attention. Overall it’s a great app would recommend to anyone.I don’t like that you have to pay,if the app is free why can the lesson in the app be free too?
  • Crash crash crash

Not working at all. It crashes on start 😕
  • Great app but can use features even after I paid

    By Nbktuge1
The app is awesome. It was so great that I purchase a subscription. It’s been two days since my purchase and I still haven’t been given access to all the features. I even deleted and downloaded the app multiple times. I love the app but honestly, they app took my money and didn’t give me a subscription. So I paid for absolutely nothing.
  • Very helpful!

I haven’t had this app long, but I assure you it has been helping a lot! It will not only help if you’re practicing more for school or just for fun. It really is a good app to have.
  • Good, but there’s only two courses for Icelandic.
