  • Stories are great!

    By Bagofmoney
I love the new stories added to the app. It’s so much fun and is exciting when I understand the story. Keep them coming, please!
  • Get rid of hearts for good this time

    By SOOOO STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The hearts system goes to show how Duolingo is now more focused on getting money rather than helping people learn a language (you get more hearts by watching ads, etc.) When they got rid of them the first time I was ecstatic, but the latest update has brought them back along with my fear to even start a lesson.
  • keyboard...?

    By frogger369
i’m having fun with duo so far but i do have one complaint! in sections where duo asks me to translate a word from english into a given language, i feel like it should provide a keyboard with the proper characters! i have recently started hebrew and had to stop mid-lesson because i don’t have a keyboard with hebrew characters and the app store doesn’t seem to have a solution that looks complete. there should be a way to type in duo without need of a second app!
  • Used to be better

    By tahnee007
There are much better ways to learn languages out there, don’t pay. They appear to not only showing you annoying ads but also adding the need to keep just five hearts? So if you get more than those wrong you are asked again if you want to pay for premium? If you are going to pay money for a language app it’s better spent with pimsleur as it will actually assist you in having the confidence to speak and hold conversations with people. Another good site is the languagepods like spanishpod101, Italianpod101 etc. Don’t waste your time with the green owl!

Not as fun as used to. Now Duolingo is getting more desperate on money. They don’t give you of freedom of making a mistake without beating yourself up. The old Duolingo was way better. It also doesn’t have a good way of teaching a language. It is never 100% accurate in a lesson.
  • Hearts system

    Doesn’t make sense
  • Heart system is a bad idea

    By Texguy04
I like it and use it often. But the heart system is awful. They make it to where you are scared to make mistakes. You learn the most when you are free to make mistakes. I once didn’t speak German when I was in Berlin because I was too scared to look like a fool. What did I learn? Nothing. Locking people out if they make too many mistakes is bad for their advancement
  • Audio bug

Duolingo , been using your app for awhile and I love it. But recently with new upgrades, concernjng speaking back on a lesson. The whole session will just freeze. I’d very much like this to be fixed so I can continue to use duolingo without looking elsewhere for learning. Thank you
  • Greedy?

    By p369m
The latest update has made it impossible to use the app. It used to be that you could gain back your health by practicing but that seems to either be broken or gone. I’m not sure if this is just a glitch or a ploy to get more subscriptions but I’m not changing my rating until it is fixed or changed. I wouldn’t mind paying for the subscription if I wasn’t having my arm twisted to cough up a measly few bucks.
  • Love Duolingo !

I have never found a free language app like this one ! In my opinion it’s better than Rosette Stone, which is an expensive language app. I always feel motivated because of the daily streaks and the rankings. It’s really helped me a lot. 10/10 recommended :)
