  • Accuracy is Iffy

Over the last few months, it seems that this app has lost a lot of its accuracy. Not a big fan of how it bunches up the times (5-9,10-3 etc) as I prefer hour by hour. I also don’t like how it says 3-19kts or 5-22kts. That doesn’t help me in the least, as the difference between 5 and 22kts is the difference of whether I go out or not. Used to like this app, but I think I’ll stick with WindFinder and SailFlow/Windy.
  • Use Windy app...much cheaper

What a great app but they inflated so much. 50 bucks a month is a cell phone bill. What are they thinking. I used to pay 200 buck a year for professional. What a rip off. I deleted the app and use Windy instead. Much better Update. They contacted me via email saying "Pricing has not increased. We do so much more than Windy, but hard to beat free if you do not use our unique features.” ...Well I save my receipts and back in 2018 and 2017, one year standard package was $249 on sale in February for $124. Now the standard package is $48.99 per month. Looks to me like they doubled the price to me. Those “unique features” are what I need but not paying $600 a year for them. This hasn’t been my first run in with their tech support. They screwed me in the past with trying to upgrade my package to pro for one month to get ocean currents and I had to get a whole new package a full retail without discount. Customer service was not helpful then and it isn’t now. What a shame, Predict wind used to be the best, not anymore. Windy app is getting better and better every day with constant updates.

A great addition would be a blue dot on the map marking my iPad GPS position.

Files Grib free, possibilità di interagire con i diversi modelli meteo e con le relative visualizzazioni. La migliore App per il Wind forecast, la versione pro colma quello che manca. Caldamente raccomandato a chi va per mare seriamente!!
  • Great app

Moved my sailboat 80 miles south looking for the right wind to support the move. Spent just a couple of days going over the PredictWind app and it proved to be correct for an effortless and comfortable sail. Thanks PredictWind!!
