  • Echoing the others...bad interface.

Can’t even zoom in. Will not be renewing.
  • Can’t Keep Monthly Magazine Copies

    By skshrews
You subscribe, but can only temporarily keep copies of the monthly magazines. Indeed, you have to download each copy every time you launch the app. And once your subscription runs out, you lose access to those monthly magazines for ever. The content isn’t unique anymore-the internet is loaded with similar information, though Bon Appetit does aggregate it. And Bon Appetit cannot shake its Manhattan biases; it’s tiring to read about another Brooklyn “hot spot” every month. Move out of New York BA!
  • So frustrating

I love having the digital app, but hate that I can’t zoom. It makes the app worthless. I will cancel my subscription.
  • Please revert to previous version

Essentially unreadable with new update. Please fix.
  • New update is a huge downgrade

    By Tiny Momiji
I miss the interactivity of the app before the update. Now it’s just another pdf reader, and for what benefit? Please change back to how the previous articles read on the app. They were so well crafted and I preferred them to the magazine because the colors were more vibrant and the interface of the magazine was very well designed. The content is great still but this update needs to go.
  • Terrible update

    By Me3101984
I used to love this app. The recipe index and searchable menu made looking at recipes so easy. The new update is essentially just a scan of the print edition, but slow and difficult to navigate. Why fix what wasnt broken?
  • Format Good - Type size TERRIBLE

    By Chipper43
I was a long time subscriber of Bon Appetit’s print version until I grew weary of stacks of magazines and recycling. This morning I decided to try subscribing to the digital version. I read other reviews and decided I could work around the small type by printing the recipes I want to use only to discover this is not possible. Well, I can take a screen shot, edit it and then print a photo. Not very practical. I like the simple layout of recipes, but reading articles gives me a headache. Without a change to the app I won’t be renewing next year. Too bad for both the magazine and myself. I gave the app three stars because I love the content.
  • Frustrating app

    By still frustrated by app
I have to continually restore my purchases to read any issue. When ever I try to download the newest issue the app asks me to purchase the issue or subscribe. It takes forever to finally open an issue to read. None of my other magazine apps have this problem
  • Why did they abandon the "old" format?

    By Timekeeper11234
Previously BA experimented with an online format that actually took advantage of what online has to offer. Now that they've reverted to simply replicating the print version online, I'm bored and no longer interested
  • Page Turner

    By SAsub
The new app is basically a page turner. Font is much too small on my iPad for these old eyes to read, and one can no longer zoom in with either a double tap or two finger spread. What “genius” made that decision? I’ll read the print version until my subscription runs out, and then I’ll say goodby.
