I am a huge fan on OneNote. It takes some fiddle factor to customize to your needs but once you you do... MAGIC!
  • Issue with the app upload

    By Revanth@123
I was not able to upload my notes online where I had a hard time in retrieving them on other devices such as my laptop or my iPhone. I have tried to contact the concerned authorities; however, failed to get a proper solution from these people.
  • Good but buggy

    By cluelessblues
More than once and across updates, the cursor just disappears. And I don’t understand why the developers don’t just make the text selection interaction consistent with the native iOS behavior. I do like that I can organize pages into different notebooks and sections. Displaying search results could be improved: it is really hard for me to find things since no context is provided when showing pages with search term hits.
  • Greatest notepad ever invented.

    The best.
  • Integration with iOS for iPad Needs a Little Work

    By GM Tampa
It’s getting better, but there are still issues using OneNote on an iPad and syncing with MS Exchange. My biggest issue is the lack of “ink to text” conversion when using Apple Pencil on the iPad. Overall, a great tool!
  • Apps are good, 365 is a mess

    By BGCEO
Microsoft writing iOS Apps was brilliant, and they work reasonably well. They still are missing easy multiple account login and other windows only features. 365 however is still a mess and that’s not something a good App can fix. Though the apps can run standalone, to get full use requires a paid 365 account. Unfortunately 365 backend, GUI, and method of access and file storage is a time consuming horrible experience with zero consistency or rhyme and reason.
  • Integration with other software is weak

Have trouble sending presentations to One Note and take notes on them. It takes too many steps to get them sent in the correct format & in the correct orientation. Works ok from PowerPoint but terrible from acrobat.

  • Great GoodNotes competitor!!!

As someone who is deeply embedded in the Microsoft ecosystem I use all their office software EXCEPT OneNote. I just didn’t have a use for it since I didn’t have an apple pencil or other low latency digital note taking alternative. Ever since I got the iPad Pro, I’ve been using good notes A LOT but OneNote has proven to be just as useful! Sure it may not have all the “cool” features that goodnotes has but ITS FREE. perhaps the only thing I would add to make it perfect would be to have some sort of “in house” communication between the iPad and the OneNote of android or windows so I can use my iPad as a graphics tablet to take notes on a larger screen. Otherwise... it’s the perfect app especially for being free.
