  • lost all of my progress photos

    MFP recently had server issues. it forcefully logged me out. when i logged back in, ALL of my progress photos, 2 years worth, disappeared. i've already contacted MFP and they gave me a generic response. yes i've done all of the troubleshooting you've recommended (restarting app, reinstalling app, etc). they're absolutely no help at all. they do not upkeep the app either and it looks terribly outdated. the only thing keeping this app good is the database it has, however there are many other apps quickly catching up. edit: the developer response is also most likely a generic response lol. i've already said that i've contacted them

  • Recipe Sharing as a option would be great

    The app works great for tracking calories! The data base is huge and I’ve never ran into a problem when scanning a food product. The only aspect that I don’t like is that a homemade recipe cannot be shared with others. I love to cook and have used the recipe option many times to track my homemade meals and it is a pain to enter the same exact thing again into my husbands app.

  • Long-time user becoming annoyed

    I've used this app for a long time, and though I've experimented with other calorie counters, I usually come back to MFP because the food database is excellent. It’s also the only food tracker that sends data to Garmin Connect. But while I get that the site needs to make money, the ads are becoming more obtrusive than in the past. Instead of a small banner on the diary screen or bigger ads on the home screen, there are now interstitials and additional ads on the logging/entry screen. There are ways to incorporate ads that are much less annoying. Rather than encouraging this long-time user to consider a premium subscription, it makes me want to look into using other apps. A smaller annoyance is that there is a weekly notification to review the prior week’s progress, but it takes the user to a log-in screen. I just ignore it now, but it is annoying.

    This app is awesome, there is a learning curve at the beginning and it can be frustrating, once, you figure it out, it’s easy, the thing that I like the best is that it stores your history of food, so you don’t have to keep scanning and looking up food, you can just concentrate on your macros and inputting food, premium is awesome, highly recommended.

  • The Key to Success

    The MyFitnessPal has been the key to my success. I’ve now been using it for 10 months without skipping a day and where I am now is due to this app and how easy it is to use. Is it perfect? No. But what it offers and its functionality is enough to keep things moving along. It is not the end all but it is a great way to keep track of your day-to-day.
