Plane Finder receives real time ADS-B and MLAT signals sent by aircraft to transmit their positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS-B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS-B is increasing all of the time. What is up with this app? I have used this app for some time now. I have had a time that it was 5star for me, But as of late most of the aircraft I tap on have no info. I click on the support icon and it just opens the app! Right now the app is not doing all it used to.
  • Unbelievably free - great app

We live under the take-off path of Charlotte Douglas airport (depending on the wind, of course) and the planes come over at a little bit over 1,000ft. It’s so cool to be able to identify them and see their destinations and origins. We don’t usually hear or notice them inside the house — unless it’s a 747, but we only get one or two of those a week. Even A380s are very quiet. Wish Concorde was still on the go.
  • Worst money spent

Couldn’t even find my moms flight, which is the only reason I got this. How the hell are you guys even around? Apple should remove you for fraud!
