  • worst customer service

Only paid members are worthy to contact their customer service team, ridiculous?! You will never find the way to receive a fair response on their technical issue if you don’t pay.
  • Evernote is my most important productivity tool

By A fun way to learn
I really don’t know how anybody gets by without an electronic notebook that can be accessed from multiple devices like Evernote. With the free text search, and smart use of tags, I can instantly pull up information when and where I need it. I use the paid version so I can access my data on multiple devices and offline. Totally worth it!
  • Great memory and categorization app

This is one of my favorite things. It has great value to capture things you need to capture, including things you don't even know why you are saving. Buy it, you'll like it. Many of the things that people complain (whine) about are often a lack of knowledge. If you look at the help, or ask a question, you may find the answer. This is an extremely versatile, useful and memory aiding app. You can do todo's contrary to prior notes. Update may 2019 This is probably old news to some, but learned a very painful lesson recently. I had some critical information stored on Evernote for an emergency. When I went to retrieve it, I was in a remote location with no cell or internet coverage. To my dismay, it appears you no longer have access to a note when you are incommunicado. Be very careful not to store any critical information if it relies on internet or cell access. Duplicate the info on a reliable local source as you may find yourself in a very surprising situation. Besides that, still a useful and well done app, but still.....
  • Outdated IOS, not reliable and lack of features

    By omnizen
It’s no surprise that EVERNOTE has been struggling. For years I’ve stuck with them hoping they would fix and improve but I’ve come to the realization they just aren’t competitive in this market place. They continue to invite users feedback and although new owner has just taken the helm I feel it’s too late for this software and team to rebound. I’m moving my notes and canceled my premium account as it’s still to be paying for a service that just doesn’t give me what I want (more reliability, faster more responsive UI and better looking typography and font) to name a few. It’s a shame because how much I used the software through the years but that’s not to say it came with great frustration.
  • Poor customer service

    By andrew w j
I purchased the app in the App Store and it did not work and continued to function as unpaid. I then purchased it from Evernote directly and it did work using the same email and login. I was double billed for months until I recognized it and neither Apple nor Evernote cared that they they were both getting paid for the same account.
  • Would recommend to new users

If you’re looking for a note taking app, keep looking. I have been using Evernote for close to a decade now. For most of those years I’ve been premium or plus level paid account. In recent years they really let themselves go. Premium evernote account is now almost as expensive as Office 365 which includes OneNote in addition to outlook word excel access and others. Perhaps my biggest gripe beyond pricing is that when I move from one platform to another the fonts in my lists and notes don’t transfer correctly. I’m sure this doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is incredibly distracting to have sentences shift from one font and perceived size to another back and forth. I tried to defect to OneNote (which is now free!) but with thousands of notes it was hard to adopt to their unique ecosystem and I came crawling back.
  • Organizes my life

    By 12345review67890
I love using Evernote—it has made a huge difference in organizing my life. All of the photos and notes that would have been in separate files or notebooks or scraps of paper are all in the same place and easy to find.
  • With Evernote since 2010.

    By trausner
I call myself paperfree and use Evernote as one of the most important tools to make that possible. It’s all in there. My whole paper life. And that’s a great achievement that I value a lot. Though despite that, there are just so many shortcomings with this app. Little annoyances and big problems that I always hoped to be fixed over time but never really did get better. Like, why can’t I encrypt notes or text on mobile devices? Or when I link to notes from other apps, sometimes this link works and the app opens up fine, and sometimes I have to restart the whole app to make the link work... it’s driving me crazy. And what about the Apple Pencil? Why can’t I do handwritten notes, on text, like in other apps? So overall I’m happy it’s all there at one spot but the shortcomings just make me wanna find a better solution. And I am on the lookout. I know that the competition is getting better. And maybe soon there will be options that I prefer and then I will switch. But maybe, Evernote is getting its things together and improves its quality. I hope for the best...

    Too many crashes.
  • Survey? Zero stars

    By jason++
I’ve been a relatively satisfied Evernote customer since the beginning, but I recently keep getting interrupted by pop ups in the app asking me if I’d like to take a survey when I’m trying to get some work done. Here’s the answer to your survey—keep interrupting me, and I will cancel. Same goes for every other website/app/service that pops up crap in my face when I’m trying to get something done.
