  • Excellent!

I’m not a natural at language learning, and I really need interaction to motivate me, but the Pimsleur program does as good a job at replicating that interaction as I can imagine a recording doing. Thanks!
  • Scam

They offer a free trial and secretly drain your credit card. They would not back track charges and are obviously setup to sneak away your money. I now have to dispute charges. Jerks!
  • One major issue

I would give 5 stars because, generally speaking, I really like this program. It’s the best one I found so far for me. However, I do have one issue related to the flashcards, which is the reason for 4 stars. As the lessons progress, the flashcards begin to contain words from previous lessons; even very simple words that, in my opinion, don’t merit review. If I go back to previous lessons (like #3, 4, etc) to look for specific vocabulary, the flashcards now contain words from all lessons I’ve completed (Four instance, through lesson #16). I think the flashcards for a new lesson should only contain new words from that particular lesson to reinforce new content. I have not been able to find a place that has only the new words in a particular lesson. I spoke to a representative from Pimsleur and the response was essentially, “I’m sorry you’re having trouble, but that’s the way it is...maybe it will change in the future.“
  • Trouble getting it to start

I actually like this app a lot... but I recently got an iPhone (it’s not an old one) and for some reason I can’t get past lesson 2 on it.. and I downloaded all the lessons as soon as I got it to make sure I’d be able to listen to them when ever... and now it keeps looking like it’s gonna start but it never does... I’ve been trying for two days... help please
  • Japanese course is great!

Pimsleur’s app interface is super easy and simple, and I’m a huge fan of the way they teach languages they’re like the only audio learning course I’ve tried that actually effectively teaches you with reasonable time. I just wish that for certain foreign languages like Japanese they’d actually show you how to read it not only speak it.
  • Very helpful!

If you want to speak like a native , Pimsleur is very helpful. Thank you for the Tagalog courses.
  • Making good progress

  • Pimsleur Spanish (Latin America)

This is a great learning app. I’ve been able to make great progress by having my lessons during my morning commute, then solidifying them on my way home.
  • Best language app I’ve found

    By clshipley
I’ve tried Rosetta Stone, Duolingo, and Babbel and love this more than any of those. I’ve already learned more in 2 lessons than all of the other 3 combined.
  • Best way to learn a language!

    By LazerSquirrel
I love learning languages this way. It’s the easiest way to speak with native speakers because you learn like a child would and aren’t saddled with all the extraneous grammar before you need it. I have studied languages in schools and universities and this beats those programs hands down. Highly recommended!
