If you have amazon prime, there is a discount on the amazon website in your account! For some reason if you do it through iTunes you will automatically sign up for the $9.99 month! Amazon prime members—the subscription is at a discount for us, it was a little confusing on how you get it! Sign up for the subscription through the official amazon website in a browser! ( I couldn’t get it to work in the app but mobile site on safari worked). If you’re not sure how to get to the subscription, just search on google for the amazon FreeTime prime prices and you can find it on there! Currently It’s $2.99/month for a single kid with prime membership, and $4.99/month family plan with prime membership. It’s $9.99/month without prime! We love the app, well worth $2.99 for my 2year old who loves books! Wanted to bring books wherever we went without the weight! This does the job! I originally only wanted to give 3 stars for the confusion for prime subscription but the content and books make up for it and give it the full 5 star review!
  • Parents control is non existent

Your child will see all of the content and just end up watching tv all the time. It should be set up so that only parents see and download the content they want on the device but instead it is all visible
  • $9.99 or $2.99/month??

On Amazon’s website it says it is a free trial and then $2.99/mo for Prime members, but the app says free trial and then $9.99/mo with no mention of Prime members. What’s going on with this?

I want the shopping app to be in English but the FreeTime app has a Portuguese option for my daughter. I downloaded the app because it has this option described.
  • Why no “my stuff” section.

  • No time management

This app doesn’t support time management like the Fire app does.
  • Audiobooks

I wish they had a larger selection of audiobooks.
  • Parental Controls Frustrating

Can’t seem to simply find the right balance with settings. Everything is scattered and options to limit books and videos does not work.
  • Doesn’t work

When I set parental limits they can never use the tablets again even days or weeks later until I turn off all limits from my account. What is the point?!
