  • You can’t watch this app in hd...

The app will not play in HD until you have a WiFi connection. I can play other apps including YouTube in HD fine on my LTE signal, but this app will spin for five or more minutes before playing only a few seconds in 720 60. It’s not a good app and needs to be updated.

App has become nearly unusable on Apple TV. Stream constantly stops and starts with video quality suffering constantly.
  • I really want to love YouTube TV...

I really want to love YouTube TV but watching on my Apple iPad is painful at best. 3/4 of the way through viewing EVERY video, all of a sudden, the video starts back at the beginning! I have to close down the app and then reopen and resume play. When I do this there are at least five to six commercials that I have to watch before I can pick up where it left off because of some technical bug. Please, please, please address this! Everything else is fine and I would upgrade this to five stars if it would only be fixed!

So I just signed up for YouTube TV and all I can say is WOW. The interface is very user friendly. Love how seamlessly I can navigate around the app wether it’s on my Apple TV or iPhone. Next is setting it up on my iPad. I am satisfied so far. NO MORE CABLE!!! I the channels they offer are perfect for me. I am a sports person so they have plenty of sports and I watch two other channels. The food network and HGTV!! That’s it!! Love it. Highly recommend for those don’t want want the hassle of cable.

  • Best TV service on the planet.

Great service, but the app desperately needs a few improvements/additions. 1. PLEASE add dark mode! This needs to be in every major app. After using dark mode system wide and then opening a blindingly bright white app, it’s frustrating and very uncomfortable on my eyes. 2. Please add a web browser and google search functionality within the app. People obviously like to use the internet while watching TV, iPhone won’t let us multitask, so YTTV should add it for us. 3. Better video quality! I know some networks only stream/broadcast in 720p, but the app seems to default to that low resolution even on networks that I know offer 1080. Also, YTTV frequently drops to a terrible low res for no reason at all. I can stream 4K Netflix all day with zero issues. YTTV is very unreliable in comparison.

I really liked this app - but since they increased there price it’s actually cheaper to go back to cable. Such a shame - this was a real bait and switch. When they first said they were going to increase their rates I thought well it’s ok I like the service, but after several months of seeing these crazy charges and seeing I can get cable without buffering and having to do airplay I’m going to cancel this... This is and was a great app - JUST NOT WORTH $60 A month
