Visit for route maps, sample audio, tips and advice and what to know before you go. It’s Just Like Having a Tour Guide in Your Car™ WHAT TO EXPECT: America’s first National Park – Yellowstone, continues to awe visitors with amazing geothermal features; geysers, boiling mud, fumaroles and hot springs are abundant throughout the park, as well as spectacular mountains, lakes, canyons and rivers. It is also home to a diverse range of wildlife including grizzly bears, bison, wolves, elk and pronghorn. Grand Teton National Park serene beauty is a fantastic contrast to the volatility of Yellowstone. With perhaps even better wildlife spotting opportunities and fewer visitors vying for that perfect image. As we drive the Grand Loop Drive, you’ll appreciate the geology 101 recap to better understand the popular geothermal wonders like Old Faithful in the Upper Geyser Basin and Grand Prismatic Spring in the Midway Geyser Basin, while we reveal some lessor visited areas, that are equally stunning. See why it’s considered a megafauna location with the largest concentration of mammals in the lower 48 and uncover the story behind how a tiny Yellowstone bacterium helps solves crimes. And visit the historical remnants of the pioneering settlers on their forge West and the visit the location of one of the most popular images help to promote the Park. Along with many other stories, tips and directions that will help refine and enhance your Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park experience. WHAT YOU’LL SEE: Some of the highlights along the route include; • Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin • Grand Prismatic Spring • Mud Volcano and Sulphur Cauldron • The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone • West Thumb • Tower Fall • Mammoth Hot Springs • Fountain Paint Port • Grand Tetons • Jenny Lake • Elk Refuge • Tower Fall • Mammoth Hot Springs • Fountain Paint Port BATTERY USAGE: ++ Continued use of GPS/Location Services in the background increases battery usage. We strongly recommend taking a cigarette style (DC outlet) car charger. Avoid using a direct connection to the USB port of a rental vehicle. IPADS: ** iPad models must include a GPS chip. Please note that Apple only install these on the iPad Wifi + Cellular models. Wifi only iPad models have limited location service capabilities and are unable to play commentary automatically. DOWNLOADING: The apps are larger in size in order to work offline. You must be on wifi to download as the store may block the download over cellular networks. • Best GyPSy guide

Have been on a three month road trip and get GyPSy guide every chance we get because we don’t have to plan anything before we get to the park or read a guidebook. Jim (that’s what we call him) takes care of all that and is the best couple of bucks we spend at each stop.
  • Informative and entertaining!

Glad we had this app. Not much cell service in Park so it was great to have the map info within the app.
  • Wow!!!!

Great narration, especially for finding can’t miss points of interest when you’re on your own. Works even in areas with no phone coverage. You won’t be disappointed.
  • Personal tour guide

    By travelngteachers
Love this app. Just returned from Grand Teton and Yellowstone and this app was like a personal tour guide. Enjoyable, informative, not intrusive. Easy to start and stop. We had read a lot about where we were going beforehand and knew some of what we wanted to see. This app confirmed our must sees and notified us about some things we might not have stopped at but so glad we did. So much easier to follow along than reading from a book or guide. Recommend getting cigarette lighter charger if you are renting a vehicle, bring a portable charger, and/or put app on iPad in addition to phone.

I am so glad this app popped up on my Facebook page. It added so much more to our visit. We would have missed a lot without it! We nicknamed the guide “Teddy” and felt like he was in the car with us. A MUST for anyone embarking on this trip without a bus tour!!!
  • So relaxing and enjoyable!

My husband and I have just completed the Tetons and Yellowstone National Parks using this app. I don’t know how we could have done it without the help. I loved the commentary. It provided amazing information and recommendations of things to not miss. I’m thankful our friend had used it prior and suggested we buy it. Well worth the money!
